Man Utd target a second Real Madrid star

Real Madrid have offered Manchester United the chance to sign Marco Asensio. The Spanish champions want to offload the winger before he can leave on a free transfer next summer.

The offer came before the Red Devils signed Casemiro for €70 million. It still stands, although United’s priority is Ajax winger Antony, who may cost as much as €100 million.

Asensio, who is in the final year of his Real Madrid contract, is available for €30 million. The 26-year-old Spaniard wants to leave the Bernabeu this summer. [Telegraph – subscription required]

Navas could have his PSG contract terminated

Paris Saint-Germain and Keylor Navas are in talks to terminate the goalkeeper’s contract.

Navas has slipped down the pecking order at the Parc des Princes. The 35-year-old is a clear No.2 behind Gianluigi Donnarumma, who has started in goal for all of PSG’s four games this season. He has been in talks over a transfer to Serie A club Napoli. [Foot Mercato – in French]

West Ham to make improved bid for Paqueta

The Hammers have made another bid to sign Lyon midfielder Lucas Paqueta.

Lyon previously rejected an offer worth around €50 million from West Ham. The French giants want a higher fee, as AC Milan, who sold Paqueta to Lyon in 2020, are due a percentage of the fee as a sell-on. Transfer talks between the clubs, therefore, remain ongoing. Man City reject PSG bid for Silva

Manchester City have rejected an initial €70 million bid from Paris Saint-Germain for Bernardo Silva.

PSG have allegedly agreed to personal terms with the 28-year-old midfielder. The Parisians are now trying to convince City into a sale. Pep Guardiola’s side, however, will only consider it if their valuation is met. Barcelona are also interested in signing Bernardo. [The Times – subscription required]
