The Denmark international is surplus to requirements at Camp Nou with still another two seasons left on his contract.
Barcelona are ready to go to ‘war’ with striker Martin Braithwaite.
That’s according to Diario Sport. The report claims Braithwaite refuses to leave Camp Nou. Barca had options to either sell or loan him out for this summer, but the Dane has refused them all. His stance has left the club in a tricky position for the final weeks of the transfer window.
Given the influx of new players this year, Braithwaite has no place in the squad anymore. He didn’t even make the bench for Saturday’s 0-0 draw against Rayo Vallecano in LaLiga.
Martin Braithwaite will have no shortage of interest from #MLS if Barca terminate his contract on the final day of the European window
Interest has been there for a while & clubs can still sign players via free agency
Terrible behaviour from the club but there're always options https://t.co/CPCirKuVAf

For Barcelona, it’s clear that Braithwaite’s time is up. They want the former Leganes striker off their wage bill and have offered him a letter of freedom – which permits him to join another club for free – but he has refused.
This stance has not impressed the Blaugrana and, therefore, they may decide to rescind his contract, which expires on June 2024, if he does not take up their offer of a free transfer.
Barcelona are also exploring legal options to spare them the expense of paying for the rest of Braithwaite’s contract.
