The Portuguese superstar is keen to leave Manchester United this summer.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has ruled out a move for Cristiano Ronaldo due to his age.

CR7 informed Manchester United of his desire to leave the club earlier this summer. But despite his agent’s efforts, no club has come forward to make a bid for the 37-year-old.

Ronaldo was Man Utd’s top scorer last season, maintaining top form despite his side’s struggles. However, it seems his age has convinced elite clubs to look elsewhere for new forwards.

Perez, who failed to bring Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid earlier this year, was asked by a fan to bring Ronaldo back to Santiago Bernabeu.

“Sign Cristiano? Again? He’s 38 years old,” the Real Madrid president responded.

Will Ronaldo stay at Man Utd?

As of now, there are no indications that Ronaldo and his agent, Jorge Mendes, have stopped their efforts to find a new club for him.

Bayern Munich and Chelsea, and Atletico Madrid have ruled out moves for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner. Meanwhile, Ronaldo himself has reportedly rejected two offers from MLS and Saudi Arabia.

The Portugal international is reportedly eager to keep playing Champions League football this season. Man Utd’s absence in the competition has convinced Ronaldo to push for a move away from Old Trafford.

However, Erik ten Hag’s interest in keeping the 37-year-old might convince him to fulfil his contract at the club.
