The German reportedly has the final say on whether Chelsea will try to sign CR7 this summer.

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel remained coy over the prospect of signing Cristiano Ronaldo when a fan asked him about it.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is one of eight superstars linked with a summer move to Stamford Bridge.

Various reports have claimed Ronaldo wants to leave Manchester United and Chelsea’s new co-owner, Todd Boehly, is interested in signing him, but only with Tuchel’s seal of approval.

“Thomas, do we sign Cristiano Ronaldo?” a fan asked the Blues boss while he was signing autographs at a training camp in Los Angeles.

Tuchel smiled and replied: “I will not tell you.”

Who could Chelsea sign?

Tuchel’s men are closing in on their first summer signing in Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling.

Chelsea have agreed on an initial transfer fee of £45 million for Sterling, plus a further £10 million in add-ons. The England international has accepted personal terms for a five-year contract. He completed the first part of his medical over the weekend in London.

Another player that Chelsea are trying to sign is Leeds United winger Raphinha.

Although the Blues have a £55 million agreement with Leeds, Raphinha favors Barcelona. The Brazilian is pushing hard to join the La Liga club instead.
