The Crystal Palace star might leave Selhurst Park as soon as this summer.
Roma has reportedly made contact with Crystal Palace over a move for Wilfried Zaha.
The Ivorian star has shown interest in leaving Palace in recent seasons. However, the London side’s high valuation of him has so far fended off his suitors.
Zaha is now a year away from the expiration of his current deal at Selhurst Park. This might force the Premier League side to consider selling the 29-year-old to avoid a free departure next summer.
Earlier this summer, reports of Tottenham’s interest in Zaha emerged in English media. But, now a Serie A side are keen to secure Zaha’s services ahead of the next season.
According to Sky Sports, Roma are considering a summer move for Zaha.
Jose Mourinho is reportedly eager to reinforce his side with Premier League players after
the successful transfer of Tammy Abraham from Chelsea.
Italian outlet Tutto Mercato has also confirmed Roma’s interest in signing Zaha. The former Manchester United star is keen to play European football next season, with Roma having a place in the next season’s Europa League.
Zaha scored 14 goals in his 33 Premier League appearances for Palace last season. After a difficult start to the season, the experienced winger gradually found his place in Patrick Vieira’s system.
Let’s see if Zaha’s great relationship with Vieira can get in the way of his move to Italy.
