The Dutch forward will most likely leave the Spurs this summer, with Toffees being among his suitors.
Everton have shown interest in keeping Steven Bergwijn in the Premier League despite interest from Ajax.
The Dutch forward has struggled to find regular game time under Antonio Conte, revealing his desire to leave the club.
Ajax are keen to sign the former PSV Eindhoven star. But they must now compete against a Premier League side for his signature.
According to 90min, Everton have approached Bergwijn with a lucrative offer to fend off competition from the Dutch giants.
The 24-year-old was ready to join Ajax before the new offer, but he is now reassessing the situation. Everton also has the option to include negotiations for Bergwijn in their talks with Spurs over Richarlison’s potential transfer.
The north London side are in a transfer race with Chelsea to sign the Brazil international. Including Bergwijn in the deal can benefit both sides.
However, Chelsea‘s intensified push for Richarlison in recent days might end up persuading the Toffees to sell the striker to Tottenham’s city-rivals.
Asked about his situation at Tottenham, Begwinj said earlier this month: “It’s difficult for me.
“I play well at the national team but when I return to the club people turn a blind eye to me. I need to find a solution.”
When asked whether he intends to leave the London side, Bergwijn simply replied: “Yes.”
He added: “I said that I keep all options open. Yes, it can be other clubs too.
“I just hope that things can become clear soon. It would be nice if things are clear soon, right now things are uncertain.”
