The Inter centre-back has attracted interest from a host of Premier League sides.

Alessandro Bastoni will “100 per cent” stay at Inter beyond this summer, confirms his agent Tullio Tinti amid heavy Chelsea links.

The Italian star displayed brilliant form in his performances for Inter last season as they finished second in Serie A. Several Premier League clubs, including Chelsea and Tottenham, have inquired about Bastoni since the start of the summer transfer window.

However, the centre-back’s agent says his client won’t leave Inter ahead of the next season.

“Bastoni is currently on vacation,” Tinti told reporters. “He is staying at Inter 100 per cent. We respect our contracts and are happy to discuss an extension when Inter call us.”

Following the departures of Anthonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, Chelsea are scanning the market to bolster their backline.

Another Chelsea defender, Cesar Azpilicueta, might also leave Stamford Bridge this summer. However, the club are yet to add a new defender to their ranks.

In addition to Jules Kounde, who has been on Chelsea’s radar for the past two years, the club have considered several more defensive options this summer.

RB Leipzig’s Josko Gvardiol has emerged as a target for Thomas Tuchel’s side, while the club have recently monitored Lens’ Jonathan Clauss.

According to Goal, Lens demand £10 million for the defender, who has a year left on his current deal. The Frenchman could become a cheaper alternative for the Blues if their efforts to sign Kounde fails this summer.
