The French star left Manchester United after spending ten years at the club.

Paul Pogba has insisted he would only join a club where he ‘feels loved’.

The World Cup winner ended his decade-long spell at Manchester United after the end of the 2021-22 season. His former club, Juventus, are the frontrunners to sign him as a free agent.

Speaking in his first interview since leaving United, Pogba made his priorities clear ahead of the upcoming transfer.

“As long as you click with the team, the fans, the club that loves you, that knows you… myself and all the players can only enjoy themselves and give their best,” he told Uninterrupted“When you’re free mentally and you enjoy yourself, that’s when you perform.

“You need to be comfortable where you are, with who you’re playing with… that’s the most important thing.

“Everyone wants to feel loved. Everyone. Everyone needs that. Your soul needs that, to feel appreciated.”

He added: “I just want the best for me. I’m putting everything together, taking my time and looking for the best. I just want to play football, be myself always, and enjoy what I do. I need to enjoy what I do, because otherwise, I cannot perform well.

“I don’t want to be thinking negative. You can be losing games or losing trophies, but you have to be happy where you are and enjoy yourself. That’s what I’m looking for.”

Pogba won four consecutive Serie A titles during his spell at Juventus. The Frenchman made 178 appearances for the Turin side before joining United in 2012.
