The Liverpool forward favored attacking firepower over a rock-solid defense in his dream 5-a-side team.
Trent Alexander-Arnold is the only Liverpool player to make Mohamed Salah’s ideal 5-a-side team.
Before Liverpool’s 1-0 defeat to Real Madrid in Saturday’s Champions League final, Salah chatted to ex-Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand for a BT Sport interview and was asked to choose his dream XI.
He went for an attacking line-up with PSG duo Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi, along with Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo, making the cut.
Salah included himself in this 5-a-side team, but he had to apologize for leaving Liverpool teammate and defender Virgil van Dijk out.
"Sorry Virgil, no defenders, I'll take Messi and Ronaldo!"@MoSalah's dream five-a-side team certainly has attacking firepower 😂@rioferdy5 put him on the spot for his opinion on the best player in the world too…#UCLfinal pic.twitter.com/LmKh8xZDBT

“I’ll go for Trent [Alexander-Arnold] because I love Trent,” Salah said. “[Kylian] Mbappe, myself… sorry Virgil, no defenders. I’ll take [Lionel] Messi and Ronaldo.”
When Ferdinand asked him who he rates as the world’s best player, Salah replied: “If I don’t pick myself I’ll pick [Karim] Benzema and Mbappe.”
