The Egypt star has repeatedly declared he wants revenge on Real Madrid in the upcoming Champions League clash.

Carlo Ancelotti has insisted that Mohamed Salah‘s recent comments on Real Madrid could further motivate his side to win the upcoming Champions League final.

The Blancos will face Liverpool in a rematch of their 2018 Champions League final on Saturday. A 3-1 defeat prevented the Reds from winning the title in Kyiv as Real Madrid claimed their 13th UCL title.

After this season’s semi-finals, Salah said he preferred to meet Real Madrid in the final, declaring he has a ‘score to settle’ with the Spanish giants.

Reacting to Salah’s comments, Ancelotti says Real Madrid themselves are on a revenge mission when they face the Reds.

Asked whether Salah’s comments motivate the Blancos ahead of the game, the Italian manager said: “It can be a motivation.

“The history of Real Madrid there is also a final loss in Paris against Liverpool. We can have the same motivation as Salah, whom we respect a lot,” he said.

“He is a danger. It can be a revenge for them or for us from the 81 in Paris.”

Ancelotti was referring to Real Madrid’s 1-0 defeat against Liverpool 41 years ago. An Allan Kennedy goal in Paris won the Champions League for Liverpool as the Blancos failed to lift the trophy after eliminating Inter in the semi-finals.
