The Ajax and Cameroon goalkeeper was involved in a horrific car accident as he headed to Douala to join the national team.

Widespread reports have claimed that Andre Onana was involved in a horrific car accident in Cameroon.

The 25-year-old, however, was able to walk away from the accident unharmed. The video on Twitter below shows him talking to other people on the scene, confirming he has suffered no serious injuries. There have been no reported casualties from either vehicle.

Horrifying pictures show the two cars smashed into each other at the front, leaving both bonnets destroyed and the ground covered in debris.

Nonetheless, Onana could still start in goal for Cameroon in their crucial World Cup playoff qualifier on Friday against Algeria. The first leg takes place on Friday in Douala. The teams meet again next Tuesday in Blida for the all-important second leg.

Afterward, Onana will report back to Ajax for the final months of his spell at the Dutch club. The goalkeeper is set to join Serie A giants Inter Milan on a free transfer in the summer.
