The Gabonese striker managed a brace and an assist on his Clasico debut to help Barcelona claim a stunning 4-0 victory.
The warning signs were there before kick-off, yet Real Madrid didn’t do enough to cover Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The former Arsenal captain continued his electrifying start to his Barcelona career by supplying two goals and a neat assist to help Xavi Hernandez’s side storm to a 4-0 win at the Spanish capital.
It was Barca’s biggest triumph at the Bernabeu since November 2015 and also saw Aubameyang continue his impressive record over Real Madrid.

Aubameyang’s record against Real Madrid
In seven games across all competitions, Aubameyang has scored seven goals and provided two assists against Real Madrid.
The 32-year-old has scored in each of his last five encounters with Los Blancos. Five of his seven goals, in fact, have come at the Bernabeu – three in the Champions League for Borussia Dortmund and two in La Liga for Barcelona.
He has also scored a brace in his last two visits to Madrid.
‘It is going even better than I expected’
Aubameyang has scored nine goals in 11 games for Barcelona this season. An impressive stat, especially as he only joined the club on a free transfer from Arsenal back in January.
“To tell you the truth, I was expecting to do something good but it’s definitely going even better than I expected,” he told ESPN about his excellent start.
“But yeah, I’m just happy and, as I said, we work for this. I’m enjoying playing with the players a lot.”
Aubameyang and Barcelona will next face Sevilla in La Liga on April 3 at Camp Nou after the international break.
