CR7 is yet to take part in the main team training since missing Manchester United’s 4-1 defeat to local rivals Manchester City last weekend.
Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to miss training again on Wednesday due to a hip flexor problem.
That’s according to a report from The Telegraph. The English outlet states that while Ronaldo returned to Carrington on Tuesday, he did not train with his teammates. He is expected to miss group training again on Wednesday, making him a doubt for Saturday’s game against top-four rivals Tottenham in the Premier League.
The 37-year-old has struggled with some pain in his hip for the last couple of months. The injury caused him to miss back-to-back games in January against Aston Villa, before sidelining him over the weekend.
Ronaldo first missed training on Friday and needed a staff member to drive him home. He subsequently flew to Portugal. Interim boss Ralf Rangnick later confirmed his injury to reporters prior to Manchester United’s 4-1 derby defeat.
Update on Ronaldo: not expected to train with main group today either. At Carrington also yesterday but didn't train then. Apparently hip flexor problem been causing him pain for past couple of months. Missed the two Villa games in Jan because of it #mufc https://t.co/0933ffRjXu

Can Manchester United still win without Ronaldo?
While it’s still too early to say if Ronaldo won’t be around to take on Tottenham, the Portuguese’s continued absence from training is a worrying blow.
For Manchester United, only three points will do for Saturday’s showdown with Tottenham at Old Trafford. Bet365, however, still favors a home win. Rangnick’s side is currently priced at 2.10 to get the all-important victory.
