Manchester City are looking formidable this season but Pep Guardiola issues a warning regarding their biggest rivals in the Premier League.
Pep Guardiola feels that Liverpool have been Manchester City’s Premier League rivals for the past few seasons.
Once again, the Cityzens are eyeing major trophies in this campaign. In fact, they have successfully achieved a nine-point lead over their nearest rivals, Liverpool, in the Premier League.
Guardiola’s side are pretty close to stepping into the quarter-finals of the Champions League following a comprehensive 5-0 win over Sporting CP.
However, the biggest concern for Pep is that Liverpool could still be able to block City’s success across all competitions this season.
After their win in Lisbon on Tuesday night, Guardiola was quizzed if there is any team present that can stop his side.
The Spaniard responded with: “Liverpool. They are our biggest rivals in the last few seasons, they are always there.”
“They are a pain in the a** all the time. They are a fantastic team.”
