The Egyptian star has won the accolade for the second year running by an impressive margin.
Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has won the Fans’ Footballer of the Year award in England for 2021.
The 29-year-old has won the prize for the second time in a row after a stunning 12 months, which yielded 24 goals in 40 Premier League games.
In an online poll across media outlets from the Reach plc network, 61% of nearly 140,000 votes for the award went Salah’s way to ensure he finished comfortably ahead of second-placed Declan Rice of West Ham United.
As a result of winning the national prize, Salah has also claimed Liverpool’s Fans’ Footballer of the Year.
Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes came third in the national poll, with Manchester City’s Phil Foden and Chelsea’s Edouard Mendy completing the top five.
Elsewhere, Manchester City’s Joao Cancelo completed the top 10 ahead of West Ham’s Michail Antonio and Tottenham’s Harry Kane.
Despite only being eligible for this award in September, Cristiano Ronaldo came home in 14th-place. He finished one spot above Manchester United teammate Marcus Rashford, while Leicester’s Youri Tielemans completed the final 20.
