Presnel Kimpembe expressed his disappointment after Paris Saint-Germain lost to Manchester City yesterday night.
Presnel Kimpembe believes that Paris Saint-Germain’s defeat to Manchester City on Wednesday night could have been overturned.
Kylian Mbappe’s goal granted the lead for the French side in the group stage encounter. However, goals from Raheem Sterling and Gabriel Jesus were enough to provide the Cityzens with a comeback.
Although Pep Guardiola’s team took control of the proceedings, Kimpembe is of the opinion that PSG have the potential to outclass their opponents.
Regardless of the defeat to Man City, the Parisians have qualified for the next phase thanks to Club Brugge’s loss to RB Leipzig.
Yet, suffering a frustrating defeat at the hands of City was not on Kimpembe’s cards as he told the reporters after the game.
“The No 1 objective was to qualify, that’s for sure, but we are still disappointed by this defeat.”
“We know we can do better. We are competitors and we don’t like defeat. What do we have to improve on? We have to kill the games earlier.”
“We also have to work as a team, middle block, sliding, and that will do the trick.”
