Ghana Football Association issued a response after their controversial win against South Africa in the World Cup qualifier.

Ghana Football Association (GFA) hit out at the officials of the South African Football Association (SAFA) following a controversial penalty incident during their World Cup qualifier last week.

In a flare battle, the Bafana Bafana witnessed a defeat at the hands of the Black Stars of Africa with the solo goal coming from Andre Ayew’s penalty.

Later, SAFA issued a complaint to the World’s highest governing body of football, FIFA, regarding the possible investigation of the officials working on that day.

In addition, they also accused the Ghana and Senegalese referee Maguette Ndiaye of match-fixing. The entire scene is still under scrutiny as both sides wait for the outcome.

Meanwhile, in a statement issued on Thursday, Ghana FA displayed a sense of achievement to mock the South Africa FA.

“…this is not the first time Ghana has defeated South Africa. And this will not be the last time,” wrote GFA.

It further added, “In fact, every South African knows the pedigree of the Black Stars in football. A reason the team has a lot of following in South Africa.”
