Eden Hazard has been unable to keep his best form at Real Madrid and his national coach Roberto Martinez is worried about him.
Belgium boss Roberto Martinez has admitted that Eden Hazard is trapped in a “sad moment” when it comes to football.
After making his big-money move from Chelsea in 2019, the Belgium international joined the ranks of Real Madrid for a new challenge.
Although the winger went through several injury problems during his run for Los Blancos and is yet to reach his ultimate level.
Even though Hazard has been declared fit to play, he has not made the typical impression on Carlo Ancelotti that he would have made back in his Chelsea days.
This situation worries his national team boss, Martinez, who understands the former Blues attacker and his all-time low career moment.
“In the recent years, he has lived with it. But he has been concentrated on the national team,” Martinez said, as cited by Marca.
“We need him to arrive at the World Cup prepared. We have grown as a dressing room.”
“Eden is in a sad moment, footballistically. He has left winners projects (but) he doesn’t have rhythm of competition.”
