Franck Kessie further complicates his contract situation by demanding a salary that is way over what Milan has offered.

Milan are struggling to extend the contract of Franck Kessie. The Ivorian midfielder is under contract until the next summer at San Siro, with multiple clubs closely monitoring his situation.

According to Sky Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Kessie has demanded a salary of €9m per year to renew his contract.
The Rossoneri have reportedly offered a €6-6.5m net per season to the Ivorian star, which is way below the player’s demand.

Milan are determined to avoid a free departure next summer and might consider selling the midfielder in the winter transfer window.

Who are the suitors?

Manchester United, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are all eyeing moves for the Serie A star.

However, Tottenham have emerged as the 24-year-old’s most likely destination in recent weeks. Tottenham boss Antonio Conte is reportedly a big fan of the player, considering him as a main transfer target.

How has Kessie performed at Milan?

Since his move from Atalanta in 2019, Kessie has established himself as a key player in the Rossoneri midfield.

The Ivorian midfielder has featured in 196 games for the Italian giants, scoring 32 goals and providing 15 assists.

Kessie has continued to impress this season as Milan sit second in Serie A with 32 points from their 12 matches.
