Fresh from winning UEFA’s goalkeeper of the season award, Edouard Mendy’s fairytale start at Chelsea took another step in the right direction.
A ‘very proud’ Edouard Mendy says being part of the 10-man shortlist for the 2021 Yachine Trophy leaves him even more motivated.
A brilliant debut campaign at Stamford Bridge saw Mendy become the first-choice keeper under two different managers while keeping 19 clean sheets in the Premier League and helping Chelsea win the Champions League.
His performances in the Blues goal won him UEFA’s Goalkeeper of the Season in August. Now into October, he is in the mix for the ultimate prize a goalkeeper can dream of – the Yachine Trophy.
