Predicted Line-Ups
Chelsea (3-4-2-1)
Edouard Mendy has missed Chelsea’s last two games due to a hip injury in the Champions League last week.
Thomas Tuchel is hopeful the goalkeeper will be available for selection on Saturday. But the Blues boss won’t take any risks either, especially as Kepa Arrizabalaga has done a decent job in Mendy’s absence.
Tuchel has also conceded Christian Pulisic, who picked up a knee injury over the international break, is a doubt. While Mason Mount’s absence has been confirmed, meaning Hakim Ziyech could take his spot in midfield instead.
Manchester City (4-3-3)
The first of three away games against Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool starts for Manchester City on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola is awaiting updates on four key players in Aymeric Laporte, John Stones, Rodri and Ilkay Gundogan.
Despite playing Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden for 90 minutes against Wycombe in the EFL Cup, Guardiola may still start the pair. Ferran Torres and Raheem Sterling will duke it out for the final spot in the attack.
When does the match start?
Kick-off for the Premier League match between Chelsea and Manchester City at Stamford Bridge begins at 13:30 (CET).
