A goal in the first half and two more in the second one saw the Reds record a comfortable victory at Ellan Road.

Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, and Fabinho were on target as Liverpool eased past Leeds United 3-0 in their Premier League meeting on Sunday.

It did not take too long for Liverpool to make the breakthrough. Salah patiently waited for the ball inside the six-yard box while his teammates played some intricate passes and upon receiving it from Trent Alexander-Arnold, he tapped in at the near post to hand his side the lead.

The Egyptian forward joined the Premier League 100-goal club with his effort, having scored 98 English top-flight goals for Liverpool and two for Chelsea.

Jurgen Klopp’s men doubled their advantage five minutes into the second half. Alexander-Arnold was once again involved as he aimed his corner towards Virgil van Dijk, whose header was blocked and the ball fell to Fabinho. Fabinho’s first shot was also blocked but he found the target on his second attempt, with a long VAR check needed to ensure Mane wasn’t in an offside position before the goal was given.

Mane delivered the final blow to Marcelo Biesla’s men with a delightful strike. The Senegalese, after receiving Thiago’s pass inside the box, spun and smashed the ball into the back of the net in stoppage time.
