The veteran defender left Arsenal at the end of last season and has been a free agent ever since.

The 33-year-old turned down approaches from Ligue 1 outfit Marseille and Serie A side Salernitana and is now set to join a team in his native Brazil.

The 24-years-old has established himself as one of the best midfielders in the Premier League in his two-year stay at Leicester City so far.

Real Madrid could tempt Leicester with a big offer next summer for the Belgium international, who has two years remaining on his current contract.

Samu Castillejo is set to stay at AC Milan after transfer talks with CSKA Moscow broke down.

The Russian side were looking to sign the winger on a loan deal but without paying a fee – an offer Milan were not too cheerful about.
