The groups for the 2021/22 Europa League campaign are set, with plenty of interesting ties awaiting teams.
The draw for this season’s Europa League group stage ended on Friday afternoon.
Four British teams – Leicester City, West Ham, Rangers and Celtic – are in the mix. Out of all of them, Celtic got the trickiest one in Group G. The Glasgow giants will face Bayer Leverkusen, Real Betis and Ferencváros.
An eye-catching tie, meanwhile, awaits in Group C as Napoli and Leicester lock horns. Both clubs will expect to qualify for the knockouts, although Spartak Moscow could spring a surprise as the dark horse.
West Ham make their first appearance in the Europa League group-stage in Group H alongside Dinamo Zagreb, Genk and Rapid Vienna.
While Rangers, who went undefeated on route to the Scottish Premiership title last season, are in Group A. Lyon, Sparta Prague and Brondby will join Steven Gerrard’s side.
Elsewhere in the competition, Monaco will face PSV, Real Sociedad and Sturm Graz in Group B. Lazio have a tricky one in Group E themselves with Lokomotiv Moscow, Marseille and Galatasaray awaiting them.
Group D welcomes Olympiacos, Eintracht Frankfurt, Fenerbahce and Royal Antwerp. Sporting Braga, Red Star Belgrade, Ludogorets and Midtjylland complete Group F.
The Europa League group-stage fixtures will begin on September 16 and end on December 9.
