Following rumours regarding Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to Ligue 1, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi shut down all speculations.
Paris Saint-Germain chief Nasser Al-Khelaifi has given out the truth about Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer rumours.
The entire world was on a standstill as PSG signed Lionel Messi this summer from Barcelona. And a word was out in the open that the Parisians would potentially go for another superstar in the same transfer window.
However, PSG head Al-Khelaifi was firm that there were no transfer talks between the club and the Juventus icon. Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes was seen in Paris and thus arose a turbulent wave of rumours. But, the PSG chief has dismissed all the speculation surrounding the situation.
“Ronaldo? We do not have any talks open with him,” Khelaifi told reporters at the UEFA Champions League draw. PSG have been drawn into a group with Manchester City, RB Leipzig, and Club Brugge. On that, he added: “It’s the draw for the Champions League, it’s the very highest level and the best competition.”
“It’s normal if we want to go the furthest [the goal] is to win every match and work. We love this kind of match. Manchester City? They are one of the best clubs in the world, with a top team. But we will be ready for this match.”
