After falling off the plans of Jose Mourinho at Roma, the former Barcelona and Chelsea star Pedro has found a rival team in Serie A.

Pedro has officially finalized his transfer to Roma’s untamed rivals Lazio, after being an outcast for the newly appointed Jose Mourinho.

Coincidently, the former Barcelona and Chelsea star is looking forward to featuring for Maurizio Sarri, his ex-boss at Stamford Bridge. Pedro will continue to play at Stadio Olimpico for the 2021-22 season, however, this time it will be for Biancocelesti

Moreover, the Spaniard will be wearing the No.9 shirt at Lazio following his startling switch. The 34-year-old arrived at Roma during the summer of 2020. Pedro managed to rack 40 appearances in all competitions last season with six goals.

However, the emergence of Mourinho did not help Pedro’s situation at the club. The Spanish international was placed on the transfer list and was excluded from the pre-season games as well. As it stands, Pedro has left the club as a free agent.

Roma attempted to cut salary costs with his deal running through to 2023, and have finally managed to release him. Pedro now becomes a Lazio player and has signed a two-year contract following his successful medical exam on Thursday.
