Arsenal handed Lautaro Martinez boost

Lautaro Martinez is open to the idea of joining Arsenal from Inter Milan in the current transfer window.

The Gunners rate Lautaro highly and enquired over his availability to Inter during talks for Hector Bellerin. With the Serie A champions in need of a new right-back, a swap deal could be possible.

Any move for the Argentine attacker, however, could hinge on whether Alexandre Lacazette leaves Arsenal. And if Mikel Arteta’s side aren’t too careful, Tottenham might intervene. The Lilywhites may make a move for Lautaro if Harry Kane leaves this summer. [Athletic – subscription required]
