The Danes successfully take revenge for their Euro 2004 elimination, and their fairytale in the absence of star man Christian Eriksen continues.
Denmark are through to the Euro 2020 semi-finals after beating the Czech Republic 2-1 in the Azerbaijan capital of Baku on Saturday.
Denmark found the opened inside just the first five minutes of the match, with an unmarked Thomas Delaney heading in Stryger Larsen’s pinpoint delivery into the box from a corner.
Kasper Dolberg volleyed home from about six yards out in the final minutes of the first half to ensure his side go into the break with a healthy advantage.
Czech Republic’s hopes were reignited when Patrik Schick produced a finish through the legs of Jannik Vestergaard to cut their deficit to one.
However, Schick’s sweet strike turned out to be nothing more than a consolation goal as the Czechs, despite trying hard, were unable to break down the Danish defense thereafter.
Denmark will now pay a visit to Wembley on Wednesday to take on either England or Ukraine for a spot in the Euro 2020 final.
