The ex-Arsenal boss brings up the abundance of firepower in the team to back his claim that France can go all the way in this summer’s European tournament.

France is the “absolute favorite” to win the Euro 2020 in the view of Arsene Wenger, who is impressed by Les Bleus’ “exceptional” offensive potential.

France are drawn alongside titleholders Portugal, Germany, and Hungary in Euro Group F, dubbed the ‘group of death.’

Didier Deschamps’ men will kick off their campaign by locking horns with Germany at the Allianz Arena in just under a fortnight’s time.

France’s attacking options were already arguably the finest among its competitors, and the recent addition of Real Madrid star Karim Benzema only further boosts their firepower.

“France will be the super-favorite of this tournament for many, many reasons,” Wenger said in an interview with beIN Sports.

“The main one of course is they just won the World Cup in a convincing way in Russia. France is a young team. And they haven’t peaked yet. And that’s why I believe they will be the absolute favorite as well.

“Imagine that you can have Mbappe, Benzema, Griezmann and all the others, Coman and so. You would say that not only the offensive potential is exceptional, but even the offensive potential on the bench is absolutely unbelievable. You have players on the bench who would play anywhere else.”
