Ahead of a new challenge for Real Madrid, one of the club’s products hinted at a possible exit from the club in the near future.
There are many Real Madrid players who don’t think they will remain at the club forever, this includes the player we are about to discuss. Lucas Vazquez was discovered by Zinedine Zidane and he was always given the chance to shine. Throughout his career with Los Blancos, he was always that player who always responds when he is needed. However, he was never considered a world-class player like many of his teammates.
Now that his contract is about to expire, he considers he deserves a lot more of what he is being offered. Florentino Perez doesn’t seem to think so and both parties reached a crossroads that might end up with Lucas leaving. The player recently offered an interview where he briefly discussed his future and how important Zidane has been for his career. Needless to say, Lucas owes his entire professional career to ‘Zizou’.
Will Lucas Vazquez stay or leave?
With a crucial match against Chelsea right around the corner, Lucas Vazquez is more than ready to find the perfect deal for him to stay. However, he doesn’t shy away from other offers he currently has on the table. Perhaps the most interesting is an offer from Bayern Munich that he is seriously considering. Moving from one historic club to another might be the perfect way for Lucas to prove he is already world-class.
In an interview with The Athletic, this is what Lucas Vazquez had to say: “I don’t know what will happen [with my future]. Whether I stay or leave, I will always be a Real Madrid fan. The team has remained united when it had to. The secret to this year has been that when someone has to replace a teammate, it hasn’t shown on the pitch. Also, Zidane has been able to handle the dressing room very well.”
