All six Premier League teams initially involved in the Super League have backed out, and the Nerazzurri could soon follow suit.

Inter Milan could become the next club to pull out of the European Super League.

A 12-team Super League was announced on Sunday with Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal, Juventus, Inter Milan, and AC Milan as founding members.

However, in light of widespread, condemnation all six Premier League clubs withdrew from the competition.

A seventh club could now retreat as Inter Milan are “no longer interested” in the competition.

“As things stand, the Super League project is no longer considered to be of interest to Inter,” club sources told news agency ANSA, according to Football Italia.

The new-formed competition was dealt with huge blow only 48 hours of its formation, and should Inter retreat, it will probably suffer a complete collapse.

There have been talks that FC Barcelona could also back out if the assembly of associates did not vote in its favour.

Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, and Juventus, meanwhile, are yet to show any signs of being shaken and seem devoted to carry on with the proposal.
