The Los Blancos boss shared some positive, as well as negative, news speaking in his pre-match press conference on Tuesday.
Dani Carvajal and Raphael Varane have put their injury issues in the past and are ready to return to action in Real Madrid’s upcoming match against Cadiz.
Real Madrid have long missed Carvajal, with Lucas Vazquez, Nacho Fernandez, and even Fede Valverde stepping into the right-back role in his absence.
The Spain international injured his right thigh muscle and tendon during the La Liga outing against Valencia in mid-February. He has since missed 12 of his side’s matches including important fixtures against Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in the league and Liverpool in the Champions League.
As for Varane, he missed his side’s last four games after testing positive for COVID-19.
Speaking in Tuesday’s pre-match press conference, Zidane, as per Managing Madrid, confirmed both the defender’s availability for the Cadiz game.
Zidane also informed that Toni Kroos and Eden Hazard will not travel along with the team to the Estadio Ramon de Carranza.
