Bayern Munich star Lucas Hernandez remains confident about his side’s chances of overturning their deficit against PSG in the Champions League.
It is all positivity in the Bayern Munich camp right now. A number of the club’s stars have claimed they have enough quality to get the job done against PSG in their Champions League return leg. Lucas Hernandez is the latest to do so.
After a 3-2 loss to the French giants on their home turf, the Bavarians travel to Paris with a mission of their own. They will now aim to over-turn that deficit and advance to the semi-finals of the competition.
In the first leg, it was all about taking chances and PSG were the better side in that regard, putting their ‘few’ chances to good use.
Star man Lewandowski might have returned to training but tomorrow’s crunch clash might still come too soon for him. Regardless, Lucas Hernandez says Bayern know what they need to do to turn the tie around against PSG on Tuesday night.
“We have a great chance and go to Paris with some clear ideas of how to play,” he said as per the club’s website.
“The team is motivated and deserves to be in the semi-finals.”
Speaking on how Bayern should approach the game, Hernandez added: “We have to keep hold of the ball as much as possible. When we lose it, we need to be alert and apply a lot of pressure because they can counter quickly and are also very good without the ball,” Hernandez explained of the approach.”
“We need to be wary, especially in Paris, and above all be ruthless. I think the most important thing in football is taking chances”
“I’ll give everything to win there and progress. I want that, the whole team wants that. Now it’s down to us to continue this adventure.”
