Amid doubts over the Liverpool manager’s future, Klopp’s agent has given a very definite answer on his plans.
Jurgen Klopp’s agent has ruled out an exit from Liverpool, insisting the German has unfinished business to attend to at Anfield.
A disappointing campaign has prompted rumors over Klopp’s long-term future. Despite winning the Premier League in dominant fashion last season, Liverpool sit in sixth-place and 25 points behind league leaders Manchester City this term.
But while things have hit a bumpy road recently, the flamboyant German remains as committed as ever to the Reds.
“He’s not finished with his work in Liverpool,” Klopp’s agent, Marc Kosicke, told Sport1.
“There is no back door open because Jurgen still has a three-year contract with the Reds. He made this very clear so that there would be no room for speculation.”
Joachim Low’s decision to step down as manager of the German national team in the summer has made Klopp a rumored target for the nation’s football association, otherwise known as the DFB.
The 53-year-old has, however, ruled out the prospect and insisted he intends to honor his Liverpool contract, which expires in 2024.
