Manchester United forward Edinson Cavani has dropped the latest update as he steps up his return from injury.

Edinson Cavani is nearing a return to full fitness and says he is eager to get back on the pitch.

The striker has been sidelined since the 1-1 draw at West Brom and has missed his side’s last three games in the process.

Cavani was once again absent in United’s goalless stalemate against Chelsea, and his movement upfront could have come in handy.

Speaking before the clash against Chelsea, United boss Solskjaer claimed the ex-PSG man, alongside Scott McTominay, had a ‘chance’ to feature against the Blues.

However, Cavani did not make the squad but McTominay went on to make the starting lineup against Chelsea.

In a brief update on social media, the veteran forward has now hinted he is nearing a return to action.

Cavani posted a picture on Instagram with the caption “Eager to come back soon.

Cavani could now be among the substitutes when United travel to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace on Wednesday.

Eyebrows were raised when United moved to sign the 34-year-old last summer. However, he has proven his doubters wrong with six Premier League goals and two assists to his name so far this season.
