Due to his complicated moment at Liverpool, Pep Guardiola wanted to send a message of support for Jurgen Klopp by praising his work.
Not even a full season has gone by and Jurgen Klopp is already getting messages of support from Pep Guardiola. The media and the fans have absolutely no memory in this sport, it’s completely ruthless against managers. Klopp has struggled because he kept this squad at the very top for the better part of five years. All of those players who gave everything for the Reds need a break and that what they are getting.
But Jurgen is well aware of how difficult this job can be once you get to the top. Guardiola knows this very well too, which is why he feels sympathy for the German manager. Pep wanted to extend his support to the Liverpool manager despite not really needing it. He already said that he feels strong enough to reverse this situation and he doesn’t fear for his future. But Pep still wanted to praise everything Jurgen has done for football over the last decade.
Guardiola knows exactly how Klopp feels.
A day after Jurgen Klopp made his case to not feel nervous about his future, Sky Sports picked up the following statement from Guardiola: “A lot of sympathy for Klopp. What he produces in world football is exceptional. I say many times now, last season and in previous seasons in Germany. His philosophy makes football attractive for all spectators. He always produces joy to the fans, to world football, there’s no doubts about this.
“We all have good moments and bad moments, no manager or club can sustain seasons and season to win and win. It would be boring. Sometimes you have to lose, to realize. I speak personally, I don’t say for my colleagues. Sometimes it’s good to lose to realize how difficult it is everything. When you come back and win games you get more credit and you are more satisfied for what you have done.”
