Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been told which player can fix his leaky defense at Manchester United.
Sergio Ramos could make a key impact to Manchester United’s defense in a similar manner to Edinson Cavani in the attack, says former Newcastle and West Ham goalkeeper Shaka Hislop.
Ramos, who is out of contract at the end of the season, is yet to agree on terms for an extension with Real Madrid. Rumors over a possible summer exit, therefore, have gathered pace. And with talks reportedly on hold again, the center-back has time to consider his options while recovering from knee surgery.
He can, of course, hold talks with clubs outside of La Liga over a possible free transfer.
Paris Saint-Germain are the rumored favorites to sign Ramos should he leave the Spanish capital. But it’s also alleged the 34-year-old would favor United as his preferred Premier League club to join.

“Yeah, why not? I’ll tell you what, I’m hugely impressed with Cavani,” Hislop said on ESPN.
“I didn’t think Cavani would be as good or as impactful as he has been. Sergio Ramos coming in at the other end of the pitch could probably have a similar effect.”
Although Craig Burley, a former Chelsea and Celtic midfielder, doesn’t see Ramos becoming a Red Devil next season.
“I don’t think that’s a road United will go down,” said Burley. “They brought Cavani in because it was short-termism and they needed a proper frontman.
“I think given the transfer window in the summer, United are looking for somebody more along the [Dayot] Upamecano age, a younger player.
“That’s where they’ve gone with most of their signings. So I wouldn’t imagine they’ll deviate to a guy who is 34.”
