The Catalan giants have been grinding out results lately and are currently on a six-game winning streak across all competitions.

FC Barcelona’s recent improvement delights Ronald Koeman with the manager noticing a rise of confidence in his team.

Barcelona have shown much determination these days, having been unbeaten in each of their last 11 La Liga fixtures.

The remarkable run of form has helped the Blaugrana climb up to second place in the league table, level on points with Real Madrid, and cut down the deficit from the top of the table to eight points.

Also, they have been able to advance to the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey by overcoming Cornella, Rayo Vallecano, and Granada in the previous rounds of the competition.

Barcelona will hope to keep up their fine form when they go against Sevilla in the Copa del Rey semi-final first-leg on Wednesday.

“It seems like we survived on many occasions. We must highlight the mentality of the team and the character of the players,” Koeman said during his pre-match press conference, via Marca.

“We have a quality team, but we lack [personnel in certain] positions, competition.

“With the injuries we have and the congested fixture list, I would rate this team ten [out of ten].

“The team’s confidence has risen, we are concentrating better than before. We have gained pride from coming from behind.”
