David Luiz is pleased with the recent progress shown by Arsenal following their 0-0 stalemate with Manchester United at the Emirates.

David Luiz has been left with Arsenal’s collective effort as a team over the past few games.

The Gunners have bounced back from a poor run of form to be unbeaten in their last seven league outings.

Much of that has been credited to the Gunners’ improvement in defense. Luiz was part of the Arsenal side that featured against United and kept yet another clean sheet.

The 0-0 score-line at the Emirates also meant Mikel Arteta’s men have only conceded two Premier League goals since December. In fact, only Manchester City currently boast a better defensive record than the Gunners.

Luiz impressed in defense against the Red Devils and has now hailed his side’s improvement as a whole.

Commenting on the stalemate with United, the Brazilian said to the club’s website: “It was a great game. Both teams were trying to win and both teams had opportunities.

“It was a proper match. It’s frustrating because we love to win. I think we tried our best and that’s it. We have to try to improve every single day, I think we have to be humble every day to admit what you have to do to improve. I think the boss is doing a good job, the young boys are progressing a lot, they are fantastic.”

“I think we’re starting to create a real team, a real atmosphere. I think that’s why we keep going but football is like this, if you don’t continue the focus and the concentration, if you don’t work hard every single day, then things can change. I am very very happy because we’ve turned around a very difficult moment in our season for a positive moment and we have to keep trying and keep going.”

Arsenal will be looking to continue their recent impressive form when they take on Wolves on Tuesday.
