Chelsea fans have reacted to rumors over Lampard’s future by creating a banner in support of their manager.
The fans sent the Chelsea board a message loud and clear – “In Frank, we trust”.
A 3-1 home defeat to Manchester City last time out meant the Blues had lost four of their last six games, leaving them down in ninth-place in the Premier League table. The dip in form has left Frank Lampard in the spotlight.
According to The Athletic, the club board are considering the manager’s future. Even Lampard admitted recently that his legacy as a player wouldn’t be enough to save him from getting the sack this season.
But the Chelsea supporters think otherwise and have thrown their support behind Lampard. They created a banner with the message ‘In Frank we trust’ ahead of the FA Cup third-round clash with Morecambe on Sunday afternoon.
It reportedly raised £1,000 in funds, but wasn’t made in time to be put on display at Stamford Bridge for the FA Cup match.
