Thousands of fans cast their votes on the club’s official app with 56 percent of those votes in the favor of the 26-year-old Portuguese, as reported on the club’s official website.
He found the back of the net four times and set up his teammates five times across all competitions in December.
Fernandes has been the driving force behind his team’s remarkable domestic form this season. Manchester United boast of a 10-match unbeaten record in the Premier League and sit second in the standings, have reached the semi-finals of the Football League Cup, and are into the 3rd round of the FA Cup.
