Jovic offered Frankfurt return amid Real Madrid exit speculations

The Serbian striker has largely struggled to deliver on expectations ever since securing a dream switch to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Luka Jovic ‘would have nothing against’ moving back to Eintracht Frankfurt after having fallen out of favor at Real Madrid, according to the Bundesliga side’s head coach Adi Hutter.

Jovic was purchased for €60 million by the Spanish champions in the summer of 2019 after his breakthrough season in Germany.

The much sought-after striker had hit 28 goals in his final season with Frankfurt and Los Blancos expected him to gradually become the focal point of the team’s attack.

It appears that he has lost his goalscoring touch as the 23-year-old has found the net only twice in 32 appearances ever since his transfer.

Jovic no longer counts for Zinedine Zidane by the looks of things, having made just three starts so far, and he has been linked with a move away from the Spanish capital.

“It is something that has not escaped anyone,” replied the Frankfurt boss when asked about the Serbian’s potential return to the German club, via AS.

“He is getting very few minutes at Real Madrid and, surely, he would have nothing against returning to Frankfurt.”
