Ahead of Man United’s Boxing Day match, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer made a shocking admission about his team’s title run this season.

Let’s be real about one thing, Man United is already considered a title contender due to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s job this season. The Norwegian manager has been on point with every aspect of the team and the result are showing. He’s gotten to a point where many even consider his squad a serious candidate to win the Premier League this season.

This hasn’t happened since the Alex Ferguson days. But all that noise can easily distract the players and the gaffer won’t have it. Instead of thinking about winning anything this season, he prefers to focus on the day-to-day tasks. It’s pretty clear they are going to try to win something this season but Ole wants to have his players completely focused.

Solskjaer doesn’t think about the title.

Ahead of Manchester United’s Boxing Day match against Leicester City, Solskjaer was quizzed about the team’s chances to win trophies this season. He spoke through Sky Sports during a press conference: “There’s noise around Manchester United anyway, so for us it’s about improving as a team and taking one game at a time, we have to.

“That’s the name of the game and that’s the only way you will challenge for anything at the end of a season anyway. It is not something we talk about. The only thing we talk about and focus on is improving every day, and learning how to deal with certain situations. At the moment we’re getting praise and that’s another thing to learn to deal with.”
