As per a report, Wolves could consider a January swoop for Liverpool’s Divock Origi as they seek to replace injured forward Raul Jimenez.

Wolves are among the clubs showing interest in Liverpool striker Divock Origi.

The 25-year-old Belgian might be allowed to leave Liverpool in January and Wolves retain interest from the past, having tried to sign him in 2018.

Origi has not seen as much game time as he would have loved at Anfield. Regardless, he has proved to be a crucial member of Jurgen Klopp’s squad with vital goals during their recent Premier League and Champions League successes.

So far this season, he has made just seven appearances.

The Athletic now reports that Wolves could consider a January move with clubs like Newcastle United, Club Brugge, and Borussia Dortmund also interested in the Belgian.

Wolves have a number of forwards under consideration for January as they seek cover for Raul Jimenez amid his recovery from a fractured skull.

The club’s preference would be to sign a forward on an initial loan deal.

Valencia’s Maxi Gomez is another who has been discussed at Molineux though a move for 31-year-old Dalian striker Salomon Rondon is likely to prove too expensive at this stage.

Given the presence of Firmino and Jota at Anfield, Jurgen Klopp might have no issues with letting Origi leave the club.
