Mohamed Elneny believes Arsenal have suffered from ‘bad luck’ and has made a claim on their faltering form in the Premier League this season.

Mohamed Elneny believes the Arsenal squad still have enough fight in them to turn their Premier League season around.

The Gunners eased past Dundalk 4-2 last night to finish their Europa League group stage campaign with a perfect record of six wins from as many games.

However, the Premier League has been a different story and Arsenal go into Sunday’s match at home to Burnley sat 15th in the table.

Elneny is convinced Arsenal can turn it around and has told his teammates they must be united in their push to get back to winning ways.

“We focus on the Premier League now because we are losing a few games, we know it is hard but we have stuck together as a team always,” he said as quoted by the Daily Mail.

“We have stuck together, everyone at Arsenal, we know there is more to come from us and we need to fight and give everything to get into that winning way, because we deserve it. We give everything on the pitch and we just had bad luck sometimes.”

“Football is like that sometimes but we believe we are going to get back to winning ways.”

“We did what we needed to do [against Dundalk] and now we push on to do what we need to do – and what we need to do is win on Sunday.”

“It was a very good win win for us away from home. We had to win on Thursday because of what happened last Sunday [when we lost to Tottenham].”

The comments from Elneny echoes similar thoughts from club boss Mikel Arteta.
