It happened after PSG’s victory against Basaksehir in the Champions League, Al-Khelaifi made comments about Neymar and Mbappe.
Neymar and Kylian Mbappe are Nasser Al-Khelaifi’s two greatest achievements as PSG’s chairman. The French giants have reached levels of performance that wouldn’t be possible without these two players. Regardless of the noise surrounding them in regards to their future, Nasser is feeling confident they will stay at the club.
If he manages to convince both players, Al-Khelaifi has a plan to possibly bring Lionel Messi to the club as well. Just imagine what PSG would be like with Messi, Neymar, and Mbappe. The thought of all three players performing together is simply incredible to imagine. But first things first for Nasser, he needs to confirm both players will remain at the club before moving for Messi.
Talking to RMC Sports, Nasser said the following: “We have started to speak with Neymar & Kylian Mbappe. Those talks will remain confidential, but I am very confident. They both want to stay.”
Neymar doesn’t want to leave PSG either.
After his hat-trick performance, Neymar also wanted to state something about his future at PSG. The Brazilian player finally found a place where he can keep growing as a professional, which is why leaving right now makes no sense for him.
After the match, he spoke to the media about his future as a PSG player. These statements fall right in line with last week’s bomb dropped about his wishes to play again with Messi next season.
“I am very happy here. I’m quite happy at the club, with my teammates. The idea of leaving doesn’t cross my mind. We need to talk. There’s a good relationship between us, we’ll see what happens in the future.”
