After dominating in the North London Derby, Harry Kane sent an ominous threat to all the rivals he will face this season in all competitions.
Harry Kane is a man on fire right now, all his rivals should beware of what he can do this season. Just to give you an example of what we mean by this, let’s talk about Robert Lewandowski. From the moment he started last season, you could tell he was a man on a mission who was completely unplayable.
As a result of this, he won a treble and is on the brink of winning The Best Award next week. Harry Kane’s case is quite similar to that one at Tottenham Hotspur. There simply is nothing he can do wrong right now and the opposition should study the best ways to stop him if they can.
But the England international has a very clear view of this season for his future. Kane knows there probably won’t be a club that can stop him and he wanted to send an ominous threat to all his possible rivals.
Is Kane in the best form of his life?
“I’d probably say it’s the best form I’ve been in in my life, the best start to the season for sure,” he said via Express. “But there’s still a long way to go I’ve had seasons when we’ve been top for a while but it’s a long hard race to be there at the end. We haven’t quite done it over the last few years but we’re just taking each game as it comes.
“Results, like we’ve got against Arsenal and obviously City a couple of weeks ago, will only help us, so we’ve just got to keep it going. There’s pressure in every game you play. Whether you’re playing the top six in a massive game or you’re playing one of the lower teams fighting relegation and you’re expected to win. In the Premier League now every game is a tough game. We’ve played City, Chelsea, Arsenal and done well but we’ve got Palace away, Liverpool away. Leicester, Leeds, Wolves… every game is a tough game, so we can’t get too carried away.
“There’s still a long way to go. Of course, we have to believe in ourselves and our capabilities but we also know it can turn around pretty quick if you have a few bad results. We’ve just got to keep trying to win games. There’s two tough away games coming up – Palace and Liverpool. We’ve just got to keep trying to do what we’re doing and fight for it.”
