According to reports coming from Spain, we can already tell you what Florentino Perez thinks about Zinedine Zidane’s future at Real Madrid.

Zinedine Zidane’s future at Real Madrid has been under audit for quite a few weeks as Florentino Perez keeps getting pressured about it. The lack of good results in both competitions underway has been the pain of the president’s existence right now. But he appears to have complete trust in what Zinedine Zidane can deliver over the next few months.

Initially, there was fear about his future if the squad got eliminated from the Champions League next week. No real Madrid manager who gets booted from the most important competition in the continent lives to tell the tale of how he survived. But Florentino Perez has a soft spot for ‘Zizou’ due to the many achievements he’s gotten over the last decade. Football fans have short memory spans as we all know.

Zidane is still the same man who won the UEFA Champions League as a player with the winning goal under his name. He is also the same man who conquered three consecutive UEFA Champions League titles as a manager during his first three years as a professional. But the fans often forget how valuable a historic figure at their club can be.

Florentino won’t sack Zidane next week.

According to La Sexta, Florentino Perez isn’t even thinking about sacking Zidane next week after the game against Borussia Monchengladbach. Even if the squad gets eliminated from the Champions League and goes to play the Europa League. The president will stick by his manager’s side because he understands the club isn’t going through the best situation right now.

There is only one scenario in which the Frenchman is no longer Real Madrid’s manager after next week’s activity. He would have to resign himself out of self-respect. But Florentino Perez does understand the history and how much Zidane means to the club. If the local media is trying to turn this situation into a tug-of-war between manager and president, they have another thing coming.

‘Zizou’ won’t lend himself to do any of that because he loves the club above anything else. We are not simply saying Florentino won’t sack Zidane if the team gets eliminated next week. All we are saying is that if it happens, the president won’t have to move a finger.
