The Tottenham attacking pair have seemed unstoppable at times after their chemistry has developed comprehensively his season.
Tottenham suffered a home loss against Everton on the opening day of the Premier League campaign, but they have not looked back since then.
Jose Mourinho’s side currently lead the league table with 21 points following an impressive nine-game unbeaten streak.
Perhaps the greatest propelling force for the team’s fine run of form is their attack, led by Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.
Kane and Son have been beyond impressive so far, with 16 goals and 11 assists in the league between them.
They have also assisted each other for 29 goals. Only Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba have combined for more goals (36) in English top-flight history.
Jermain Defoe, who knows a thing or two about scoring having struck almost 150 goals during his combined time at Tottenham, has now heaped praise on the dynamic duo.
“With Kane and Son, what Mourinho has done has been incredible,” Defoe said on the Mennie Talks Podcast.
“Those two are the best partnership in world football at the minute. The hardest thing that you can do at the top level is to be consistent, so for those two to show that consistency, for me is unbelievable.
“Son is dynamic, so he runs in behind. He gets the ball and he is direct, he beats people.”
