The young center-back has missed the entirety of the season so far but could be available for Juventus after the international break.
Matthijs de Ligt suffered an injury in Juventus’ Champions League Round of 16 second-leg clash against Lyon in August last season.
The Dutch defender has since been on the treatment table after undergoing surgery on his shoulder, missing the start of the 2020/21 season.
It was expected that he would fully recover and would be able to make his way back onto the pitch in November, just in time for the Serie match against Lazio.
However, the 21-year old did not receive the medical clearance for the match at Stadio Olimpico that ended in a 1-1 draw.
Goal recently revealed that De Ligt has now fully recovered from his shoulder injury and should be able to slot back into Andrea Pirlo’s lineup when domestic football resumes after the international break.
Alex Sandro, who has been out injured since September, is also in contention for the match against Cagliari while Aaron Ramsey and Federico Chiesa are also edging their way back to full fitness.
Giorgio Chiellini, meanwhile, is still around a month away from returning to action for Juventus.
